thank you for the opinion, the one referenced looks different from mine, my base as a slit in the hole, but the one referenced does not

It's a John Deere linkage pin, John Deere only gives part numbers, not dimensions, so I can't find they exact application. A Deere dealer can prob help you out.

Thank you, looks very close, but the 1st link from the title its 11.5" long, 2nd link its 4.,25 diameter, 3rd link - its looks skinny and different, 4th link, it has a notch on the back,
