This is a front driver side spindle for 1966-1977 VW Beetles and Karmann Ghias. It is designed for a ball joint type front axle equipped with drum brakes. This particular spindle is also designed to lower the front of the car by 2.5" over stock. They are often sold by the name "Drop Spindles". Note: This spindle has an extra hole drilled in the arm that the tie-rod mounts to. That extra hole is for adjusting steering ratios.
