It's a OIL COOLER DIVERSION PLATE. It bolts on to the engine block where the oil filter used to go, and the oil filter screws on to it. the side with the groove goes against the block with an O-ring, the flat side is sealed by the oil filter's O-ring. There is a large hollow bolt that holds the plate against the block. It has a threaded extension that the oil filter threads onto. Oil leaves the block through the hollow bolt, is filtered, then leaves the filter by holes around the center hole, then leaves through one of the fittings. Oil lines screw on to the fittings that go to a cooler. The oil is cooled, then returns to the other fitting. Under the plate there is a hole in the block where the oil enters the oil system passages. They are used on heavier duty V8 engines. A Ford F-150 would not have one, but an F-350 would. A Chevrolet 1500 pickup would not come with one, but a 3500 would. There is one on my 1998 GMC 3500 van.

1)

That is a Body core for a pressure regulator. it has compression fittings and it also has a Ventura sleeve where fluid or fuel is regulated and then passed through the body.

It's an OIL COOLER ADAPTER for a internal-combustion engine. To install, remove oil filter, and the threaded stub the filter screws on to. Put an O-ring in the groove and put that side towards the engine block. Install the special stub-and-nut to hold it on the block, then put the oil filter back on. The oil lines attach to the hollow fittings and go to an oil cooler. The two plugs are for oil pressure and temperature senders.
