This is an AMC front wheel spindle. These came on AMC models in the late 50's and early 60's. The one in the URL is a reproduction made by ARGO as it would be mounted to an original style Rambler American steering knuckle. The second URL shows one from a 1963 Rambler that is being converted to disk brakes. You can see the casting number in one of the photos are you scroll thru the photos. These were also used on homemade trailers, hot rods and custom cars because they are easily adaptable. Yours is an original AMC part with the original casting number.
