It's a balancer for a Continental R6602 engine. These engines(6 cylinder-602cu/in) were commonly used in military 5 ton trucks in the '50s. On these engines, the front crank hub included the pulleys and the balancer bolted onto the front of the pulleys. The first link is the balancer, the second link is the hub/pulleys and the third link is a slide show of the engine with installed balancer.
