It's a tail stock ram from a lathe. All lathes normally use a tail stock. You'll have to determine what the size is (#) of the Morse Taper hole in the front of the ram, that'll help narrow it down. If you look at lathe sales brochures on-line you'll likely be able to tell which brand has both measurements engraved on their rams. It looks to be from a 14" to 24" machine, but could be a bit smaller or larger. The link is of a lathe with a similar ram, it even has both measurement markings.
