This is a Chang Jiang motorcycle engine that is almost identical to a Ural K750. This one looks like an M72 but it could be a Type 1 M1M 750 because the two engines are almost identical. What gives this away a a Chinese copy are the minor casing differences like the round lug under the steel bracket behind where the starter mounts. If it was a Ural it would be a square lug. See the 2nd URL for comparison. Chang Jiang copied Russian and German motorcycle engines by reverse engineering them and then manufacturing a counterfeit units in Chinese factories without a license. Many parts of these engines can be interchanged with the original engine from which they were copied. This 750 engine could be used in a Ural, Dnepr or a Chang Jiang motorcycle frame and will fit perfectly. The Chinese have been stealing engine designs like this for years.
